Welcome to LUPUS-CORA 2027
8–11 May 2027 | Florence, Italy
Dear Colleagues,
We are honored to welcome you to the 17th International Congress on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus & 9th International Congress on Controversies in Rheumatology & Autoimmunity to be held in the charming city of Florence from 8 to 11 May 2027.
Following the success of the joint 2021 virtual edition, we have decided once again to bring the two congresses together in a single, unified event, but this time in person: LUPUS-CORA 2027. This renewed integration reflects our shared vision of creating a stronger, broader, and more connected platform for the global lupus and autoimmunity community. The congress represents a unique moment for our global lupus community — clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals, industry experts, and patient advocates — to meet to reflect, learn, share, and build the future of lupus research and care.
During these four days in Florence, we will dive deep into the most exciting and promising areas of lupus science: disease management strategies, patient empowerment, treat-to-target and targeted therapies, new therapies and curative approaches. We will explore the latest drug developments, innovative clinical trials, and breakthrough treatments that have the potential to change the course of the disease. This is our moment to understand how far we have come — and where we are headed.
But more than that, LUPUS-CORA 2027 is a space for connection and collaboration. It is a rare opportunity to meet with peers from around the world, to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and foster new research partnerships. It is also a place to hear diverse voices — from basic immunologists to frontline rheumatologists, from early-career scientists to seasoned experts — and to bridge gaps between disciplines.
This congress is not just about presentations: it’s about conversation. It’s about understanding not only the science, but also the direction of lupus research, the cutting-edge questions that will define its future, and how together we can drive the field toward more effective, safe, and perhaps even curative interventions.
Florence, with its rich history and timeless beauty, offers more than just a backdrop: it inspires creativity, dialogue, and vision. We hope you take the time to absorb the city’s spirit — as you build connections, share insights, and imagine new possibilities for patients living with lupus.
We look forward to welcoming you, to learning with you, and to shaping the future of lupus care — together.
Warmest regards,
